The Union Pines Vikings baseball team (Cameron, NC), was overwhelmed 8-3 in Tuesday's non-league outing with the host Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC)
The Bears now hold a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Purnell Swett for a non-league outing on Tuesday, March 7. Gray's Creek will confront a Rams team coming off a 9-3 non-league loss to Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Rams record now stands at 1-1.
Next, the Vikings confront the Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, March 1. Union Pines will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Eagles go into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 16-0 non-league loss to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC).
