Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Chesterfield Golden Rams (Chesterfield, SC), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Mavericks now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Indian Land for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 1.
With the loss, Chesterfield falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Golden rams travel to Piedmont (Monroe, NC) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 1. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Piedmont won 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC)
