New Mexico High School Softball - Cibola gets by Sandia

February 28, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87110

Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM), witnessed Cibola's softball squad tip Sandia by a count of 4-3.

The Cougars now sport a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Del Norte for a non-league match on Thursday, March 2. Cibola will face a Knights squad coming off a 18-7 non-league loss to Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM). The Knights record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Sandia moves to 0-2 on the season. The Matadors travel to Lovington (Lovington, NM) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Friday, March 3. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 0-1. Lovington lost 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Cooper (Lubbock, TX)
