Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) and the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC), witnessed East Rutherford's softball squad prevail over Mitchell by a count of 14-0.

The Cavaliers now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Independence for a non-league match on Wednesday, March 1. East Rutherford will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Robinson (Concord, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Mitchell moves to 0-1 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to meet the Bearcats in a non-league match on Thursday, March 9. The Bearcats go into the match with a record of 0-1.
