Gateway College Preparatory Gators (Georgetown, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Gators now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tournament Opponent for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 3. Gateway College Preparatory will face a squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX). The record now stands at 5-14.

With the loss, Little River Academy falls to 10-3 on the campaign. The Bumblebees travel to Chaparral (Killeen, TX) to face the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 2. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. Chaparral lost 17-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Johnson City (Johnson City, TX)
