The Elgin Comets basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Berne Union Rockets to 28 in the Comets non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Comets now sport a 4-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patriot Prep Academy for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 2. Elgin will battle a Eagles team coming off a 64-50 league loss to KIPP Columbus (Columbus, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 12-8.
