In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Mountain Brook Spartans (Birmingham, AL) basketball squad edged the visiting Carver Montgomery Wolverines (Montgomery, AL), by a margin of 46-43.

The Spartans (27-7) will now prepare for their outing against Buckhorn (New Market, AL). The Bucks go into the non-league outing with a 28-5 record. In their last outing, Buckhorn held off Helena (Helena, AL), 60-47, in a non-league outing.

The Wolverines now own a 17-15 record.
