In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Waldron Spartans (Waldron, MI) basketball squad beat the visiting Vandercook Lake Jayhawks (Jackson, MI), by a count of 42-34.

The Spartans (12-10) will now prepare for their outing against Pittsford (Pittsford, MI). The Wildcats go into the Southern Central outing with a 14-10 record. In their last outing, Pittsford defeated Jackson Christian (Jackson, MI), 52-36, in a league outing.

The Jayhawks now hold a 4-20 record.
