In Wednesday's non-league outing, the North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA) basketball squad edged the visiting Northwestern Lehigh Tigers (New Tripoli, PA), by a margin of 44-40.
The Spartans (13-5) will now prepare for their outing against Lewisburg (Lewisburg, PA). The Green Dragons go into the non-league outing with a 15-10 record. In their last outing, Lewisburg held off Shamokin Area (Coal Township, PA), 48-42, in a non-league outing.
The Tigers now own a 8-6 record.
