The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Birmingham Patriots (Lake Balboa, CA) and the visiting Garfield Bulldogs (Los Angeles, CA), saw Birmingham's softball squad nip Garfield by a count of 5-2.

The Patriots now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Ranch for a non-league match on Saturday, March 2. Birmingham will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 15-4 non-league loss to Granada Hills Charter (Granada Hills, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Garfield falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host San Fernando (San Fernando, CA) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Friday, March 1. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 1-1. San Fernando lost 9-3 in their recent non-league match against Chavez (San Fernando, CA)
