The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Orange Cove Titans (Orange Cove, CA) and the visiting Mt. Whitney Pioneers (Visalia, CA), saw Orange Cove's softball squad nip Mt. Whitney by a count of 7-4.
The Titans now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Reedley for a non-league match on Friday, March 1. Orange Cove will face a Pirates squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Sanger West (Fresno, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, Mt. Whitney falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Chavez (Delano, CA) to face the Titans in a non-league match on Friday, March 15. The Titans enter the match with a record of 4-3.
