Rancho Bernardo Broncos (San Diego, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Broncos now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Torrey Pines for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. Rancho Bernardo will face a Falcons squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Olympian (Chula Vista, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Steele Canyon falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Grossmont (El Cajon, CA) to face the Foothillers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. The Foothillers enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Grossmont won 7-2 in their recent non-league challenge against El Camino (Oceanside, CA)
