North Carolina High School Baseball - Riverside-Durham nips Cardinal Gibbons

February 28, 2025: Durham, NC 27712

The Riverside-Durham Pirates baseball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders to 3 in the Pirates non-league win on Friday.

The Pirates now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Southern School of Energy and Sustainability for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 4. Riverside-Durham will play a Spartans team coming off a 16-3 non-league loss to Voyager Academy (Durham, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Cardinal Gibbons drops to 1-2 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC) to play the Storm in a non-league test on Monday, March 3. The Storm go into the test with a record of 0-2. Willow Spring lost 8-4 in their recent non-league test against Green Level (Cary, NC)
