North Carolina High School Baseball - Perquimans holds off Holmes

The Perquimans Pirates baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Holmes Aces to 8 in the Pirates non-league win on Friday.

The Pirates now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Pasquotank County for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 4.

With the defeat, Holmes drops to 1-1 on the year. The Aces host Gates County (Gatesville, NC) to play the Red Barons in a non-league test on Monday, March 3. The Red Barons go into the test with a record of 0-1. Gates County lost 6-1 in their recent non-league test against Camden County (Camden, NC)
