In Friday's non-league game, the host Mesa Verde Mavericks baseball team scored a nice 15-5 win over the Pierce Bears.
The Mavericks (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Kennedy (Sacramento, CA). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 1-5 record. In their last game, Kennedy was overwhelmed by Wood (Vacaville, CA), 13-0, in a non-league game.
Next, the Bears play the St. Helena Saints (St. Helena, CA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 4. Pierce will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Saints go into the game with a 2-2 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Berean Christian (Walnut Creek, CA).
