The Starkville Academy Volunteers the visiting Mooreville Troopers baseball squad by a score of 3-1 in Friday's non-league outing.
Next up, the Volunteers battle the North Delta Green Wave (Batesville, MS) in a non-league outing, on Monday, March 3. Starkville Academy will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Green Wave come into the outing with a 4-3 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Pillow Academy (Greenwood, MS).
The Troopers (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Nettleton (Nettleton, MS). The Tigers come into the 3A Region 4 outing with a 7-1 record. In their last outing, Nettleton tipped West Point (West Point, MS), 15-5, in a non-league outing.
