Texas High School Baseball - White Oak sneaks past Mount Vernon

In Friday's non-league game, the visiting White Oak Roughnecks baseball team scored a close 8-7 victory over the Mount Vernon Tigers.

The Roughnecks (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX). The Wildcats enter the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Scurry-Rosser was tipped by Frankston (Frankston, TX), 14-0, in a non-league game.

Next, the Tigers face the Edgewood Bulldogs (Edgewood, TX) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 8. Mount Vernon will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 2-1 record after their 9-1 non-league win over Commerce (Commerce, TX).
