Texas High School Baseball - Valley View sneaks past Nixon

The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Valley View Tigers (Pharr, TX) and the host Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX), witnessed Valley View's baseball team hold off Nixon by a count of 4-3.

The Tigers now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Juarez-Lincoln for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 28. Valley View will clash with a Huskies team coming off a 11-0 league loss to Martin (Laredo, TX). The Huskies record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Nixon drops to 2-5 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Donna (Donna, TX) to clash with the Redskins in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 28. The Redskins go into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Donna lost 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Weslaco (Weslaco, TX)
