In Friday's non-league bout, the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) baseball squad the host Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), by a tally of 6-3.

Next up, the Pirates encounter the Cleveland Rams (Clayton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 1. Topsail will attempt to upgrade on its 3-0 season record. The Rams enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 19-0 non-league win over Cape Hatteras (Buxton, NC).

The Rams (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC). The Bears enter the United Eight 3A/4A bout with a 1-2 record.
