In Friday's league contest, the host Brookings Bobcats basketball team scored a good 66-56 win over the Douglas Patriots.
The Bobcats (1-18) will now prepare for their contest against Spearfish (Spearfish, SD). The Spartans come into the AA contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Spearfish was topped by Rapid City Christian (Rapid City, SD), 71-45, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Patriots battle the Yankton Bucks/Gazelles (Yankton, SD) in a AA contest, on Saturday, March 1. Douglas will attempt to better on its 5-16 season record. The Bucks/Gazelles come into the contest with a 4-15 record after their 70-48 non-league loss to Sioux Falls Christian (Sioux Falls, SD).
