In Friday's non-league contest, the Western Guilford Hornets (Greensboro, NC) soccer team routed the visiting Parkland Mustangs (Winston-Salem, NC), by a tally of 9-0.
Next, the Hornets face the Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, March 6. Western Guilford will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record.
The Mustangs (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Central Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Central Davidson was overwhelmed by Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC), 4-1, in a non-league contest.
