In Friday's league test, the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs (Fort Lauderdale, FL) lacrosse team overwhelmed the visiting Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks (Fort Lauderdale, FL), by a count of 21-6.
Next up, the Chiefs battle the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in a 1A D15 test, on Monday, March 3. Cardinal Gibbons will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Eagles enter the test with a 5-2 record after their 14-13 non-league loss to Stoneman Douglas (Parkland, FL).
The Mavericks (2-3) will now prepare for their test against Miami Country Day (Miami, FL). The Spartans enter the 1A D15 test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Miami Country Day topped Gulliver Prep (Miami, FL), 16-3, in a non-league test.
