Dougherty Valley Wildcats (San Ramon, CA) followers exited the stadium satisfied Friday as they saw their lacrosse team nip the visiting Las Lomas Knights (Walnut Creek, CA), 9-8 in a non-league game.
With the victory, Dougherty Valley advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wildcats host California (San Ramon, CA) to play the Grizzlies in a East Bay game on Tuesday, March 11. The Grizzlies come into the game with a record of 0-1.
The Knights now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Foothill for a non-league game on Tuesday, March 4. Las Lomas will play a Falcons team coming off a 17-13 non-league loss to Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 0-1.
