Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) and the host Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC), saw Garinger's soccer squad knock off Piedmont Community Charter by a count of 4-1.
The Wildcats (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Berry (Charlotte, NC). The Cardinals enter the non-league battle with a 0-2 record.
Next up, the Patriots battle the Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC) in a Metro Eight 1A battle, on Monday, March 3. Piedmont Community Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Stallions enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 9-0 non-league win over Langtree Charter Academy (Mooresville, NC).
