Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines (Athens, GA), 1-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Monroe Area moves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Purple Hurricanes host Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA) to clash with the Warriors in a 3A Area 8 test on Friday, March 7. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 4-2.

The Wolverines now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Jackson for a 2A Area 8 test on Tuesday, March 4. Prince Avenue Christian will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to East Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-3.
