In Friday's non-league test, the Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Denham Springs Yellowjackets (Denham Springs, LA), by a tally of 17-8.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Central Wildcats (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, March 1. Assumption will attempt to advance on its 6-0 season record. The Wildcats go into the test with a 3-2 record after their 20-3 non-league win over Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA).

The Yellowjackets (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Parkview Baptist was routed by Live Oak (Watson, LA), 8-4, in a non-league test.
