The Big Spring Steers softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Stanton Buffaloes to 2 in the Steers non-league win on Friday.

The Steers now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Stockton for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 4. Big Spring will confront a Panthers team coming off a 10-3 non-league loss to Socorro (El Paso, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 10-8.

With the loss, Stanton moves to 6-7 on the season. The Buffaloes host Coahoma (Coahoma, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 3A Region I District 3 battle on Tuesday, March 4. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 9-0. Coahoma won 4-0 in their recent non-league battle against Jacksboro (Jacksboro, TX)
