Texas High School Softball - Burleson bounces Decatur

The Burleson Elks softball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Decatur Eagles to 2 in the Elks non-league win on Friday.

The Elks now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mansfield Timberview for a 5A Region I District 8 battle on Tuesday, March 4. Burleson will confront a Wolves team coming off a 16-1 league loss to Joshua (Joshua, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Decatur moves to 4-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Saginaw (Saginaw, TX) to confront the Rough Riders in a non-league battle on Saturday, March 1. The Rough Riders come into the battle with a record of 2-7. Saginaw lost 17-0 in their recent non-league battle against Godley (Godley, TX)
