The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the David Thibodaux Bulldogs (Lafayette, LA) and the host New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), observed David Thibodaux's softball team notch a victory over New Iberia by a tally of 16-1.

The Bulldogs (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA). The Vikings go into the non-league bout with a 2-5 record. In their last bout, Opelousas Catholic was routed by Lutcher (Lutcher, LA), 2-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets battle the Bunkie Panthers (Bunkie, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 1. New Iberia will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 13-4 non-league loss to Pine Prairie (Pine Prairie, LA).
