The Hillcrest Patriots softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Demopolis Tigers to 1 in the Patriots non-league win on Friday.

The Patriots now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northridge for a 6A Area 6 battle on Tuesday, March 4. Hillcrest will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 12-7 non-league win over Holy Spirit Catholic (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Demopolis moves to 4-8 on the season. The Tigers host Hale County (Moundville, AL) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Monday, March 3. The Wildcats come into the battle with a record of 1-2. Hale County lost 10-8 in their recent non-league battle against Gordo (Gordo, AL)
