The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS) and the host West Jones Mustangs (Laurel, MS), observed DeSoto Central's softball team prevail over West Jones by a tally of 18-2.
The Jaguars (5-0) will now prepare for their bout against Petal (Petal, MS). The Panthers go into the non-league bout with a 4-3 record. In their last bout, Petal knocked off Greene County (Leakesville, MS), 3-0, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Stringer Red Devils (Stringer, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 4. West Jones will attempt to advance on its 0-7 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS).
