Texas High School Softball - Tatum succumbs to Gilmer

In Friday's non-league test, the Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) softball squad overwhelmed the host Tatum Eagles (Tatum, TX), by a tally of 15-1.

Next, the Buckeyes clash with the Carthage Bulldogs (Carthage, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 test, on Tuesday, March 4. Gilmer will attempt to advance on its 8-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 10-3 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Rusk (Rusk, TX).

The Eagles (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Sabine (Gladewater, TX). The Cardinals go into the 3A Region II District 16 test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Sabine was routed by Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX), 12-1, in a non-league test.
