The King Mustangs softball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Los Fresnos Falcons to 2 in the Mustangs non-league win on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carroll for a 5A Region IV District 29 battle on Tuesday, March 4. King will confront a Tigers team coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Raymondville (Raymondville, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 13-1.

With the loss, Los Fresnos moves to 6-6 on the season. The Falcons travel to London (Corpus Christi, TX) to confront the Pirates in a non-league battle on Friday, February 28. The Pirates come into the battle with a record of 5-4. London lost 3-1 in their recent non-league battle against Carroll (Corpus Christi, TX)
