In Friday's non-league match, the host Oak Grove Tigers softball team scored a tight 9-6 win over the Pike County Bulldogs.
The Tigers (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Long (Skipperville, AL). The Rebels enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Long nudged Luverne (Luverne, AL), 5-0, in a non-league contest.
The Bulldogs now hold a 2-10 record. They play next when they host W.S. Neal for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 1. Pike County will face a Eagles squad coming off a 16-6 non-league loss to Red Level (Red Level, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 7-2.
