In Saturday's non-league test, the Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Belton Tigers (Belton, TX), by a margin of 6-0.

The Eagles now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pflugerville Connally for a 5A Region III District 23 outing on Tuesday, March 3. Georgetown will encounter a Cougars team coming off a 12-3 non-league loss to Churchill (San Antonio, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, Belton moves to 9-10 on the season. The Tigers travel to Gatesville (Gatesville, TX) to encounter the Hornets in a non-league outing on Tuesday, March 3. The Hornets come into the outing with a record of 9-5. Gatesville lost 9-4 in their recent non-league bout against Shoemaker (Killeen, TX)
