Centennial Spartans (Burleson, TX) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad topple the host Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, TX), 9-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Centennial improves its record to 13-6 on the year. The Spartans host Mansfield Summit (Arlington, TX) to play the Jaguars in a 5A Region I District 8 game on Tuesday, March 3. The Jaguars enter the game with a record of 2-6.

The Tigers now hold a 3-12 record. They play next when they host Boswell for a 6A Region I District 3 game on Tuesday, March 3. Mansfield will play a Pioneers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Lovejoy (Lucas, TX). The Pioneers record now stands at 9-2.
