Coon Rapids Cardinals (Coon Rapids, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres (Sartell, MN), 74-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Coon Rapids upgrades its record to 12-13 on the season. The Cardinals host Anoka (Anoka, MN) to play the Tornadoes in a AAAA Section 7 bout on Friday, March 1. The Tornadoes go into the bout with a record of 10-15. Anoka lost 80-70 in their recent non-league bout against Rogers (Rogers, MN)

Next up, the Sabres play the Apollo Eagles (St. Cloud, MN) in a AAA Section 8 bout, on Friday, March 1. Sartell-St. Stephen will attempt to upgrade on its 4-21 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 6-19 record after their 86-72 league loss to Sauk Rapids-Rice (Sauk Rapids, MN).
