The Solon Spartans routed the visiting Des Moines Christian Lions basketball team by a final score of 49-25 in Thursday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Spartans face the Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets (Estherville, IA) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 1. Solon will attempt to move on its 23-3 season record. The Midgets enter the game with a 25-2 record after their 45-37 non-league win over Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA).
With the defeat, Des Moines Christian moves to 23-2 on the year.
