Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) and the host Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC), saw Alleghany's baseball squad edge Surry Central by a count of 9-8.

Coming up next, the Trojans play the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 12. Alleghany will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record.
