In Thursday's league battle, the host Dawson County Tigers soccer squad scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Gilmer Bobcats.
The Tigers (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Wesleyan (Norcross, GA). The Wolves come into the 3A Area 7 battle with a 5-0 record.
The Bobcats (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA). The Indians come into the 3A Area 7 battle with a 2-3 record. In their last bout, Lumpkin County was nipped by North Forsyth (Cumming, GA), 4-0, in a non-league bout.
