The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Sunnyside Blue Devils (Tucson, AZ) and the host Campo Verde Coyotes (Gilbert, AZ), saw Sunnyside's softball squad nip Campo Verde by a count of 2-1.

The Blue Devils now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Millikan for a non-league match on Thursday, February 29. Sunnyside will face a Rams squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Gahr (Cerritos, CA). The Rams record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Campo Verde falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Coyotes host Whittier Christian (La Habra, CA) to face the Heralds in a non-league match on Friday, March 1. The Heralds enter the match with a record of 5-1. Whittier Christian lost 5-1 in their recent non-league match against La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM)
