Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Crandall Pirates (Crandall, TX) and the host Navasota Rattlers (Navasota, TX), witnessed Crandall's softball squad tip Navasota by a count of 8-6.

The Pirates now sport a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Connally for a non-league match on Thursday, February 29. Crandall will face a Cadets squad coming off a 13-1 non-league loss to West (West, TX). The Cadets record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Navasota moves to 3-4 on the season. The Rattlers travel to Wharton (Wharton, TX) to face the Tigers in a 4A Region IV District 25 match on Tuesday, March 5. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 0-9. Wharton lost 11-0 in their recent non-league match against Smithville (Smithville, TX)
