Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC) and the visiting East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC), witnessed West Lincoln's softball squad tip East Lincoln by a count of 9-7.

The Rebels now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Burns for a non-league match on Monday, March 4. West Lincoln will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 16-3 non-league loss to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, East Lincoln moves to 0-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Crest (Shelby, NC) to face the Chargers in a non-league match on Wednesday, March 6. The Chargers go into the match with a record of 2-0. Crest won 10-3 in their recent non-league match against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC)
