In Thursday's non-league contest, the East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS) softball team held off the visiting Lewisburg Patriots (Olive Branch, MS), by a margin of 2-1.
With the triumph, East Union moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Urchins host South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS) to play the Cougars in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 5. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 4-2.
