La Grange Leopards (La Grange, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Harlingen Cardinals (Harlingen, TX), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Leopards now own a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Roma for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 1. La Grange will battle a Gladiators squad coming off a 15-3 non-league win over Nixon-Smiley (Nixon, TX). The Gladiators record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Harlingen falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Del Valle (Del Valle, TX) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 12-6. Del Valle won 7-1 in their recent league challenge against Akins (Austin, TX)
