The Hornbeck Hornets softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Oberlin Tigers to 9 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Hornbeck moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Hornets travel to Mansfield (Mansfield, LA) to clash with the Wolverines in a non-league game on Friday, March 1. The Wolverines come into the game with a record of 2-2. Mansfield lost 16-0 in their recent non-league game against Zwolle (Zwolle, LA)

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Westminster Academy Crusaders (Opelousas, LA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 5. Oberlin will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record.
