The Merryville Panthers softball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Pitkin Tigers to 3 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bearcats come into the game with a record of 2-4. Basile lost 15-0 in their recent non-league game against Eunice (Eunice, LA)

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Pineville Rebels (Pineville, LA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 2. Pitkin will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Rebels come into the game with a 4-4 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Pine Prairie (Pine Prairie, LA).
