Ansonia Tigers (Ansonia, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Tri-County North Panthers (Lewisburg, OH), 64-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Ansonia upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Tigers host Arcanum (Arcanum, OH) to play the Trojans in a Western Ohio bout on Friday, February 10. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 10-10. Arcanum lost 49-40 in their recent league bout against Newton Local (Pleasant Hill, OH)

Next up, the Panthers play the Lehman Catholic Cavaliers (Sidney, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Tri-County North will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 53-52 league loss to Troy Christian (Troy, OH).
