The Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL) basketball knocked off the host Illini Central Cougars (Mason City, IL), 75-58 in Friday's league test.
The Trojans (20-5) will now prepare for their test against St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 20-4 record. In their last test, St. Joseph-Ogden notched a victory over Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL), 68-55, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 9-15 record. They play next when they travel to Illinois Valley Central for a non-league test on Saturday, February 4. Illini Central will encounter a Grey Ghosts squad coming off a 69-47 league loss to Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL). The Grey Ghosts record now stands at 4-22.
