Bon Homme Cavaliers (Tyndall, SD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Avon Pirates (Avon, SD), 53-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bon Homme upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Cavaliers host Burke (Burke, SD) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 4-9. Burke won 62-58 in their recent non-league bout against North Central (Eureka, SD)

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks (Armour, SD) in a B Region 5 bout, on Thursday, February 9. Avon will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record.
